Exclusive use booking:

• Breakfast is self catering. Please make use of our kitchen facilities.
• A daily cleaning service will be provided at a time that is convenient for guests.
• Staff will be on the property to attend to the gardens & pool.

Minimum stay:

• A minimum stay of 2 nights is required on a Friday and a Saturday for the high and peak season weekends from 1 October - 30 April annually.
• A minimum stay of 2 nights are required during the peak season from mid-December to mid-January annually.

Children:

• Families are most welcome if both the outside suites as well as the main residence of the property is booked exclusively.
• We regret no children under the age of 14 years unless the entire house is booked for exclusive use.
• Please note that the pool has no safety features /controlled access or lifeguard in attendance. It will be used at guest ‘s own risk.

Run-of-house rates:

• Standard inclusives apply and special arrangements and requests can be made by prior arrangement.
• A special rate will be offered based on the season and length of stay.

Check-in / Check-out:

• Check-in is from 15:00 and before 18:00. Later check-in by prior arrangement.
• Check-out by 11:00.
• Early check-ins and late departures to be made by prior arrangement and we will do our utmost to assist guests where possible.

Cancellation and refund policy:

• If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
• If cancelling 15 days before arrival, forfeit 25 % of the deposit

Trading terms:

• Reservations to be secured via EFT or a valid credit card payment (Payfast) on receipt of invoice.
• We also offer credit card and VISA facilities at the guesthouse. NO MASTERCARD
• Payment schedule: 50% due at time of booking, remaining balance due day of arrival.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of making the booking.
• If the booking is less than 7 days before the date of check-in, the full amount is payable at the time of making the booking.
• We require a minimum stay of 2 nights in peak season.
• Kolonies’Tuin reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment terms are not adhered to.
• Kolonies’Tuin reserves the right to change or amend rates without prior notice.
• Kolonie’sTuin recommends that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover any medical, personal loss by means of theft or personal accident, cancellation and curtailment.

Excluded in the rate:

• Outside meals: We gladly assist with reservations and recommendations and all
  restaurants are within walking distance.
• All other drinks.
• Transfers.

Important Facts:

• Our residence has a solar system installed, providing energy to the property in totality.
• We also have 4 solar geysers, thereby doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint. All the units do have airconditioners, but would like to bring to our guest’s attention, the following. South Africa ‘s energy provider, Eskom is currently under severe pressure, resulting in various stages of loadshedding. Unfortunately we do not have any control over this fact, and we are trying to manage the energy capacity of the guesthouse as best we can. Even though we have a battery system that provide electricity during loadshedding, it is not possible to run all the airconditioners during this time, as the load is just to much for our system. You will therefor have limited functionality of the AC, during the period the battery is operational, and for some time after, until the battery is fully charged again. We do trust that you will bear with us, and though it can be uncomfortable during the hot summer months, it usually is not for periods exceeding 2h30min. Also please make use of our pool to cool off – It is available 24h per day.
